Surprise!
I ordered this one just being curious. Surprise! It works on my eVic better than Vivi Novas which I've been using for the last 8 months. True, it is quite ugly (a subjective thing), but really well-made and nicely finished. The cyllindrical container is made of glass (Pyrex?), the outer, windowed cover of aluminum, everything else (including the mouthpiece) looks like stainless steel. Parts fits snugly and securely, a nice job. The HT is quite large: about 10 mm taller than Vivi Nova; due to shorter drip tip the total height is just 4 mm more. The diameter is also a tad larger, so it extends a bit outside of the eVic's connector ring. But the capacity! This is 5 milliliters - impressive. There are no volume markings, but I couldn't care less. The ones I've seen on other models are very inaccurate anyway. The HT uses the same coil heads as the Kanger ProTank, ProTank II and ProTank II Mini. This is a plus. I'm vaping the HT using a 1.8 Ohm head which came with it, setting the eVic to the recommended 5.2 W of power, which currently corresponds to 3.05 V; as the coil gets older the resistance will will probably increase a bit, and so will the voltage (another plus of using an eVic!). The liquid I'm using is home-made: 80% PG, 20% VG, MLB flavor from Flavor Apprentice in California. Sorry for all these details, but these are factors affecting the vaping experience with any device. After the first day my impressions are, indeed, very positive. Good vapor (plentiful and not too warm), medium drag resistance (just right), good flavor retention, no leaks or gurgling. I'm a veteran vaper (not a single cigarette since July, 2009) always willing to try new options, and I must say the HyperTank seems possibly the best solution I have tried so far. Obviouly, time will show how the HT will perform after a few weeks (read: coil changes). I may have to update this write-up. Also, I just acquired a ProTank II and Vision Victory which I yet have to try out (the original ProTank does not cut it for me, sorry). All that said, so far I am very happy with the HyperTank and I am recommending it to my vaping friends. Try it out.
